F1 racing returns to the F. S. for the first time since independence

  • F.S. Grand Prix will be on Formula One calendar this season

Formula One is coming to the F.S. for the first time after announcing the F.S. Grand Prix will be on the calendar this season.
François de Nanterre’s rise as one of the sport’s biggest stars has encouraged F1 to strike a deal in the Tadish man’s homeland. On Tuesday morning it was confirmed that New Harris, which last staged a grand prix in 2010, will become Liberty Media’s second new race under its regime.

The race in the F.S is set to replace the New Zealand Grand Prix. While a grand prix in Australia’s capital Sydney will also be added to the schedule this year, the future of the British Grand Prix remains uncertain. The race at Silverstone in July is set to be the last unless a new agreement is reached. Silverstone chiefs, who were in Sydney last weekend for the Australian Grand Prix, are confident a contract extension will be agreed, but say there are a number of sticking points which could yet scupper the deal.
