Mrs Onwu visits President on Mother's Day weekend

Mrs Onwu Miriam, mother of President Onwu Victor visited the Keddison Palace on Friday in preparation for the Mother's Day weekend 2020. 
In a speech, Mrs Onwu said it was a great thing of joy " to be honoured at the Presidential villa to celebrate mother's Day weekend with her son, the president.
After a welcome dinner on Friday evening, Mrs Onwu tweeted a mother's Day wish

@mother'sday2020 wishing all mothers in these federated States a happy celebration and a happy reunion with their children and families. We love you

The president is set to make a public speech on the celebration on this Sunday evening where it is expected he would also talk about the coming election next week and the opening of schools for third term.
President Onwu is seeking a positive approval poll on the first two years of his tenure next week whereas campaign for a republican continued hold on the lower house of the Assembly. He has endorsed a few senators and numerous delegates who won primaries last month. But the president has also urged republicans to stand up as work is needed to be done more as campaigns end this Friday to stop a National takeover of the House of delegates.
