Trump concludes F.S. State visit as ties strengthen
From Wednesday, July 31 to Friday, August 2, U.S. President Donald Trump made a largely ceremonial visit to the Federated States in order to maintain the strong ties between the F.S. and U.S.
The Presidential three-day trip include a state banquet, golf with President Onwu Victor and celebrating Memorial Day on the only F.S. Aircraft carrier Lady Bolton.
The President on arriving at Yellowsprings Airport on Wednesday evening had dinner with Governor Dan Sailor before becoming the second world leader after Australian PM Scott Morrison last year, to meet President Onwu Victor at the Keddison Palace. He was honoured with red carpet and federal Army Guards' displayed. Later in the day the two presidents played golf at the Keddison Palace lawn.
The evening was beautified by a state banquet which was graced by artists like Molly Potter, Harry Streider, Drake Vin and George Hill.
The next day he visited the only F.S. Aircraft carrier Lady Bolton to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Federated States Civil War. He left the F.S. around five o'clock pm. The trip was much awaited by the two leaders as Trump tweeted just before leaving the Governor's mansion on Thursday "I'm seeing what I expected... This is one thing I've awaited much since I became president". Onwu on the other hand tweeted, "Trump's meeting will be the opener to greater trade ties with the strongest nation on earth".
Also the president was much accepted in the Federated States as the whole event was organised to make Trump happy. More than 300,000 people visited Keddisonville to meet Trump and he was met with a loud ovation as he called to give his remarks at the Independence Hall.
Yet critics have met the visit especially from neighbouring New Zealand. PM Ardern tweeted on Thursday, "It's appalling to see a black president roll out red carpet for a racist like Trump".
Other critics said that the visit was in response to the lift of the nuclear ban policy by the F.S. Senate last month. Chairman of the Federated States Clean Environment Group, Frank Hiho said in a rally of protesters against Trump's visit that Trump wants to use the visit and cement his nuclear sales with the F.S. But in a speech, President Onwu said that only issues concerning 'trade', 'Iran', 'Syria' and 'Afghanistan' were talked about in the visit.
Trump tweeted today that he was very happy that US had a 'very' big ally in the Pacific.
